If you have used Facebook to log in to TraitWall, you can request deletion of your data at any time. This page explains how to delete your data from our platform.
How to Delete Your Data
You have two options to delete your TraitWall account and associated data:
Option 1: Delete via Settings
- Log in to your TraitWall account
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to the Account Management section
- Click Delete Account
- Confirm your decision when prompted
This will immediately delete your account and all associated data.
Option 2: Request via Email
If you cannot access your account or prefer to request deletion via email:
- Send an email to privacy@traitwall.com
- Include the email address associated with your account
- Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- We will confirm your identity and process your request within 7 business days
What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Account Information: Email, username, display name, password
- Profile Data: Bio, avatar, and other profile information
- Trait Balances: All trait gems you have collected
- Transaction History: Records of traits sent and received
- Share Links: Any referral or share links you created
- Settings and Preferences: All account settings
Data Retention
Please note the following about data retention after deletion:
- Your account data will be deleted immediately upon confirmation
- Some anonymized analytics data may be retained for legal and business purposes
- Backup copies may persist for up to 30 days before being permanently purged
- We may retain certain information if required by law or to prevent fraud
Important Considerations
Before deleting your account, please be aware:
- This action is permanent and cannot be undone
- All your trait gems and recognition will be lost
- Your username may become available for others to use
- You will need to create a new account if you want to use TraitWall again
Confirmation and Timeline
If you request deletion via email, you will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted. The process typically takes 7 business days but may be completed sooner. If you delete your account through the app settings, the deletion is immediate.
